The 3D version is worth watching many times over. The film itself is not bad. I can recommend it to anyone. Beautiful movie! Enjoyed and appreciated racially diverse faces throughout the movie like Jolie's real children; not many movies embrace global peoples. The beginning of the movie was a little cheesy/corny with upbeat childish Disney music and the beginning dialogue was a little awkward as if aimed at little kids who don't know that the birds name is Diaval even though he is a main character from the previous movie. I started off by watching the 1st movie again on dvd then I watched this one straight after. Having observed the dark fairy for some time, he is an advocate for peace between men and fairies.Uh, oh!

Not sure why some reviewers are so negative. Featurette: Disney's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Gotta say that there’s no one else like Angelina Jolie and she adds a magical touch like Aurora’s finger to the spindle in every movie she’s in. Fantastic in fact. A very pleasant viewing.
