High elves to dark elves should definitely be fine as long as your opponent isn't a special one .I really can't think of a good faith reason for saying that these armoured elite elves with two-handed swords who no longer have rules cannot be used to represent these armoured elite elves with two-handed swords. But my discussion/question here is:Can anyone think of some reasons other than WYSIWYG or tournament play that I couldn't use models such as Swordmasters for Executioners, Spearmen for Dreadspears, and archers for Darkshards? Could work for the cannons too.You can always run them as "short" freeguild crossbowmen and gunners.
