This reminds me a lot of a scene in the original Jurassic Park novel when the main characters are running from the Velociraptors, and they grab a baby raptor and toss it back at the adults. In Resurrection Ripley has to chose what she is. Two hundred years after Ripley’s death, military scientists are attempting to clone Ripley in order to extract the Queen embryo that was in her body when she died… ALiens is a gruelling horror action movie. Weaver nails this animalistic role with her sniffing, and curious birdlike head twists. Alien 3 seemed to be an attempt to get back to Alien, and was partially successful. Then again i think gieger was in no way involved. Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet created the definitive Alien movie of the 90s, combining aspects of the previous trilogy into a rock-solid experience of action and suspense. NECA Toys has revealed a brand-new deluxe action figure from 1997’s Alien: Resurrection, the “Newborn” Xenomorph/human hybrid created from Ripley.
I know the fourth movie has been panned by critics and fans of the series, but I still like that it furthers the story of research on the Xeno. The research the military are conducting is done well outside normal boundaries...either because it's DNA/Gene-altering, or because it specifically involves the Xeno.We get one super kickass hybrid in the form of XenoRipley, and one really ugly, screwed up crappy one in the form of the HumanXeno. It's still an Alien movie, but only barely.I dislike it because it's just so... Weird. No aliens waiting, or anything.That, along with the velociraptor aliens and the terribly designed and executed hybrid design cement Resurrection as the lowest point of the Alien saga.I actually love Alien, Aliens and Alien 3. The Special Edition of Alien Resurrection is an extended version of the 1997 film, first released as part of the Alien Quadrilogy box set in 2003. I'd say I prefer to Alien 3 at least.Alien and Aliens are untouchable in their stature... we won't see a film at that level of quality in the franchise again.No, it's not overrated. Resurrection is such an odd attempt at a film.I always assumed that the acid was just slowly eating away at his face and he was at the end of his rope. There was no reason for it to exist. The only characters with any story are Ripley and Call, and in my view they're barely developed.Same here, it's weird how covenant has made me appreciate films I really didnt think were very good.I enjoyed it. For the first time since Aliens, you walked out of the theater feeling like, 'Okay...this is a good starting point. Specifically, I appreciate that the film shows its pedigree clearly: The tone and style are very typical of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's films, and I love that the Auriga's crew resembles an early version of the Serenity gang, via Joss Whedon's writing.

Ripley has a smirk on her face.I know lots of people pan this flick, but it's still leaps and bounds above the AvP junk we were force-fed. The xeno design is ugly as hell.. they breathe fog, they gurgle and roar for some reason and are so covered in goop all the detail is lost.. the writing is execrable, and the worst of all the slapstick humor.
In terms of tone it matches more with the AvP movie than its predecesors, but I liked the quirkiness of it.Ripley 8 was an interesting idea, the auton Call was cool.
