Basically you are a mercenary from an organization known as "Rafzakael" (as such you are refered to as "Mercenary" by your commanders talk or "Rookie" when being adressed by Edgardo Guillardino; your instructor.) tooo bad but at least it is better than ps3 servers... i was forced as punishement to play online with ps3 once and it was so terrible i cant even explain uneducated? The Soldier RT is probably the easiest class to wield, but far from the least useful being the offensive backbone of the squad. Rank 35: 110 Votes. All from behind the lines and in a frail HOUND for combat. aren't x-servers only for section8? j ton. There is one HOUND in the final mission of this campaign. Sort of.
The long ranged complement to the Soldier, the Sniper RT specializes in taking out targets from a distance. IN. There are two HOUNDs in this campaign, one that is lured into a trap and picked off by several snipers, and the other in the final mission who turns out to be Carlos; the first revealed member of Cerberus. Missions from this campaign involve storming an enemy facility, destroying retreating ACVs, and even destroying a pair of HOUNDs in the final mission.
That would be crazy expensive if MS hosted every game released on the system with their own dedicated boxes. The Scout RT uses its extreme mobility to scout the map, capture combases, throw flairs to highlight targets for snipers and even lure enemies into a trap by annoying them. I can only speculate that there may be a sequel coming. With the severs down, the single player campaign is the only remaining playable portion of Chromehounds, and unfortunately: arguably one of the worst single player campaigns out there (the multiplayer alone was what made Chromehounds the great game it was). 12783. I mean the servers would still be there on the PC, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a wasteland shortly after release if there wasn't interest. Missions in this campaign involve destroying incoming groups of enemies long before they get within range to return fire, destroying installations, and even taking on Oscar - the 2nd member of Cerberus - in a long ranged battle. The Defender RT specializes in its heavy armour and devastating close combat capabilities, defenders protect the more vulnerable units in the squad such as the Tactics Commander, and the Heavy Gunners. that is hired by various groups over the course of the six single campaigns.
I will be buying Mechwarrior over Chromehounds 2 even though i really enjoyed Chromehounds.
the downside to that is that once they shutdown a server, the online portions of the game gets nixed (i.e burnout 1+2 etc) Sega paid for the server out their own pocket. dedicated servers IS the reason why CH is being shutdown. curious to know if it'll be something implemented in future 360 games well i was lookin at my 360 library and thinking about putting this game in again and giving it another go....guess not anymore:( i still play this game at least once every month. But really will anyone really care since Mechwarrior will be released next year? Xbox 360 mech sim Chromehounds is about to have its online component put to sleep. At the very least they should be being people the option of using their own PCs as severs. Sega will be taking the game's multiplayer portion behind the barn, hopefully ending its life with the first shot.
