I have cancelled doing business with several websites that use this technology.Besides, CAPTCHA is being used increasingly on sites where it is actually dangerous for our security and privacy, such as web-blogs, social media, medical sites (signing in to make doctor appointments), commenting sites using services like Disqus.NONE of these should be affiliated with google/Captcha or forcing participants to hand over their privacy and security through that horrible Captcha mess! However, it is definitely not required to be so lengthy and complicated, even a bot will get tiered.It’s really simple to fix, just stop using google.
This is the most popular way automated bots send traffic to Google. I like to be able to set Google to show 100 results per page, but just by changing that only thing, this crap gets triggered, regardless of computer, ISP, or browser.
As for “unusual traffic”, this seems to occur no matter what. What no CAPTCHA, or reCAPTCHA as it is often called, does is read the movement of the mouse clicker before clicking in the box. Click on the box and all I get is a wait spinner. And I never go to “weird” website such as porn, illegal download, etc.But, I always got this captcha on google search, and it’s very annoying, last time maybe I need to try it over 10x.Initially we thought only few people have this problem, but it does not seem to be the case.
