The professors are very knowledgeable. The students are also great; they are intellectual, fun, and laidback. Everyone is academically driven, and I feel like I can have an intellectual conversation with anyone on campus. I personally believed I wanted to go into biomedical engineering, however, after taking a variety of classes at Brown in environmental studies, I have switched my major. I believe they have a perfect system and would like to encourage them to keep up the good work!Everyone is really nice and helpful which makes it a little scary at first. The academics were top notch, and several of my peers are already successful in their careers; the degree as a label has traction in the job market.As a Veteran who grew up in Minnesota, the weather was mild for me, but those from the South will find the winter challenging.I found myself very absorbed by my studies at that time, and so did most of the other students. towards my education at Williams; the rest was covered by non-repayable Williams grants. 4-Year. The College also pays for your medical insurance, ALL book expenditures, yearly round-trip to your home country (with all expenses).
Most everyone has the drive to succeed without creating an overly competitive or cutthroat environment. The campus is vibrant and there are always tourists. The school acknowledges the stress culture is pretty bad and has taken steps to provide stress relievers (eg: mindfulness room, paws to relax, the petting zoo, etc). I really loved going to a school with an honor code that is ingrained in the culture of the school, from the social to the academics. Coming to Cornell has allowed me to experience different cultures in lots of new ways. There are hundreds of student organizations for students to find their community and their passions in. The campus is beautiful and the academics are stellar.
There is truly a culture throughout the university of caring about the students and doing everything possible to help them succeed. Professors and students are experts in their field, and I can easily see future diplomats and leading scholars in my classroom.
Rice University is an amazing place, even with intense academics.I loved visiting caltech! Apart from academic excellence, Wellesley also offers a wide range of clubs and sports where a student can easily find a group of friends like family.
There's a strong sense of community that I've never felt anywhere else, and all the people are really nice. I was challenged and pushed to become my best by teachers who went above and beyond. As a rising sophomore, the dorm food was amazing. Trade/Career.
You can take classes at Columbia and you can also eat at Columbia's dining halls, which is fun!
Many Cornell students are in top-earning families. It's not a perfect system, but it makes a big difference. I would like to point out that Cornell is very aware of this issue and is taking steps towards leveling the playing field for both high and low income students. Find the astronomy and astrophysics colleges that are right for you. However, there was an adjustment period my freshman year. My advisor was really caring and helped me do more than plan my schedule. No other university is this connected between current students and alumni. I really like the small classrooms and the ability to get to know my professors and classmates well. They say the more options you have the more regrets you'll have, and that has been true of my Yale experience. The university offers a wide range of classes with many hidden gems like spending nights in the planetarium, looking at the effects of video games on education, or finding answers to resource sustainability. Experiences will vary for everyone, but if you are looking for a high-energy campus with a strong mix of academic vigor, some loneliness and depression, low student diversity, brilliant faculty, and big sports/parties, come here!I enjoyed the campus life., I felt very welcomed onto the college campus! I also really like the lush green beautiful campus and Lake Waban.I loved my experience at Colgate! One additional note: sophomore summer is the best term of all time! Teachers are mostly flexible with student work load and are very understanding with athletes and anyone having trouble really. I come from a very small town in Maryland.
