These categories do nicely at the box office and with regards to DVD product sales. Unfortunately, even the presence of Sam Heughan couldn't save this plodding, confusing mess with so many technical and editing problems it would take a month to enumerate. I would like to purchase “Young Alexander the Great”. I quite liked this movie when I saw a screening a few years ago.

I’m actually not clear if it was fully filmed at that time, but as I was writing a history of Alexander on the big (and small) screen for “Amphora,” I looked up as much about the film as I could find. The other actors did an amazing job too. Oh my goodness, where do I begin? When will this come out on DVD? The only good part of the film is when they show the Ibsen play. The positive: I really like how Ellida's struggle in her relationship was mirrored by Moira's emotional struggle. Laura Donnelly and Rosie Day were fun to watch and we see another side of Sam Heughan outside of his Outlander character Jamie. Sam is a much better actor than this movie made him out to be.

I truly felt for Sam's character as the quirky, sickly neighbor and he has a great scene with Laura Donnelly. Dominic Mafham, Sam Heughan and Rosie Day were also a joy to watch. Perhaps these issues are all resolved on the dvd; but in digital format available on prime, it was very distracting and what Jan was saying in Norwegian to the AD, the chef, etc was all missed. The movie itself looked like a real low budget film. The only thing keeping me from giving it a one star is the actors. Over the course of the road trip, the group finds themselves overpowered by a strange world, with tensions building between the troupe.
I especially thought Daisy Head had some stand out scenes.
The scenery is stunning, the actors are all highly skilled. It is the project that undoubtedly any actor who has gone on to success desperately hopes would have never seen the light of day.

I loved it -- a strange, beautiful film. A docu-drama which chronicles the experiences and actions of Peter Wildeblood which eventually led to the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Great Britain. As an Outlander and Sam Heughan fan I'm so happy this film has a chance to be seen.

I tried to like it but, this film is badly done and therefore un-watchable. A man becomes obsessed with finding his missing wife, drowning in the nostalgia of a 16mm home movie of her, and letting his grief gradually consume him until he gets caught up in a sinister occurrence.
I didn’t know, then, who Heughan was.I searched and searched for Young Alexander and finally found a web page that stated that it did not havea release date.
