Also, if your world genned without platinum, you might as well make the hook with your diamonds because making the staff without platinum genned is a pain. The Fish Hook is a play on words, using the term for the real-life fishing tool for a grappling hook with the same appearance. Now when I try to use it, nothing happens.
I've just done the same thing with my Amethyt hook. This is NOT a confirmation that it no longer a click-to-use; Cenx is saying there's a new slot for the hook - that's fine and well, but this 'new' slot cannot be selected and cannot be accessed using mouse buttons..The fact that the hook worked when 1.3 was first released but only stopped working after saving and restarting means there is something broken/wrong.

Before the grappling hook equipment slot was added to the game, you just needed to have one in your inventory to be able to use it with the default E key. There's actually 0 benefit to players and developers alike to say Oh and no you can't use the mouse to hook anymore.Don't believe this post by the forum moderator - he's not a game developer, merely quoting something which is not directly related to our issue. Oh thats the crimson, same thing as the ores, except it has different functionality and its loot is based on tanking rather then agilityim just confused at why the hook use to work without ever being in the slot before? Hi, I always put my grapple hook on the hotbar and click to hook - it frees up my hand on the keyboard so i can focus on mobility and not have to worry about releasing a different key to try hook somewhere.However, after a few hours of 1.3, it suddenly stopped working. But LMB still doesn't work.
