He is most well known for playing drums with the Brooklyn-based jazz fusion band Snarky Puppy. The forty-year-old Searight appears on six albums by Snarky Puppy, which now also includes drummer Larnell Lewis, who tracked 2014’s We Like It Here and subs in the band when Sput’s calendar gets jammed. The accompanying DVD to this release proves it with nothing hidden from view. This dudes got it! Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. I know that part of it is that I fin d smooth jazz boring and this just sounds to me like an augmented, a little more chale4nging Rippingtons-type music: predictable grooves, slightly mechanical funk, and though some of the solo work –by one of the trumpeters, for instance—and some of the sax work, over all most of it is predictable.
