If life didn't get in the way I would have sat down and read it cover to cover. You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left. Very highly recommended. They are given the case of the apparent suicide of a 16 year old girl student in Edinburgh to investigate as her father thinks she was murdered. Detective Rachel Prince kept me rooted to the story. I read and reviewed the first book in the series called ‘Lola Is Missing’ and I really enjoyed that, but ‘Now’s She Gone’ blew the first book out of the water. I liked the specificity (Los Angeles is its own character) and the discussion of domestic violence, particularly towards Black women, was eye-opening and heartbreaking.On one hand I'm a little disappointed this isn't a fifth Lou Norton book, but on the other hand, whatever it is I need it asap!
